1. Medway Rental Agreement

All vehicle hires through Medway are subject to a detailed Rental Agreement provided with your booking confirmation or at vehicle collection. 2. Medway Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Medway, you must:

  • For Medway rentals, drivers must be at least 21 years old (age limits may vary by vehicle type, with additional charges applying to drivers under 25). Hold a valid driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category, held for the minimum period set out in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification, proof of address and a payment card in the driver’s name as required by the Rental Agreement.

3. Reservation and Payment

  • Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person at our Medway location. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. Full payment and the security deposit are normally due when the vehicle is collected. All prices are in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Vehicle Pickup and Return

  • You must inspect the vehicle carefully at collection and report any existing damage to Medway immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by you and a Medway representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as at collection, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage found on return will be assessed and charged to the hirer in line with Medway's damage policy.

5. Insurance and Indemnity

  • Medway includes basic third-party insurance with every rental. Full coverage details and the applicable excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to limit your liability for loss or damage. We recommend reviewing these carefully. You are responsible for loss or damage up to the excess amount specified in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Modifications

Medway's cancellation and amendment policies vary by booking type and notice period. Please refer to your Medway booking confirmation or rental agreement for specific details. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.

7. Disallowed Uses

You must not use a vehicle rented from Medway for:

  • Use of a Medway vehicle in connection with any illegal purpose or activity. Racing, rallying, off-road competitions, or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous materials, explosive substances, or other dangerous goods. Subletting the vehicle to third parties or permitting unauthorized drivers. Operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Any use that exceeds the vehicle's intended design or recommended capacity.

Violating these restrictions may result in immediate Medway rental termination and additional charges.

8. Limitation of Liability for Medway

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Medway will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Medway Jurisdiction

These Terms for Medway are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to Medway

Medway may modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting on Medway's website. Your continued use of Medway services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
